Vertical Descents offers Kite Surfing for all levels, Kite surfing is one of the most exhilarating Extreme sports available.

Its dynamic, exciting and adventurous. Its physically and mentally demanding and can be dangerous, which is why its so important to have a lesson to learn how to be safe and maintain safety.

Kite Surfing

Experience with any other board sport will help but experience with power kites is invaluable. We recommend experience power kite flyers to book 1 to 1 or 2 to 1 lessons. Anyone booking the 2 day kite surf lesson, if you can beg, borrow or steal some time with a Power kite you will benefit greatly. Unsure Kite Surfing is for you why not have try the nearest thing but on land, a Half day Power Kite Lesson followed by a Half day Kite Buggy or Kite Landboard session. If you are thinking of purchasing a kite prior to the lesson to practice with we recommend a 2.5-3.5 meter kite on a bar. If you require any info don’t hesitate to get in contact.

All instruction and lessons are run to the standards of the BKSA (British Kite Surf Association).

Taster session

2 hour Taster Lesson – £35 pp

If you are unsure of committing to a full kitesurfing course then the taster session is for you! A two hour course, using power kites to give you invaluable experience and a good idea of whether Kitesurfing is the sport for you. We take a maximum of 4 people, so it is a great activity if you and your friends are at a lose end. This course is also a great introduction to the world of buggies and landboards.

One to One Lesson

1 hour lesson – £50pp

3 hour lesson – £125pp

Is the best way to learn. Whether you have never flown a kite, want to do unhooked manoeuvres or ride a board without foot straps. We will tailor the course to your needs. 1 to 1 allows you to go at your own speed, no need to feel held back in group situations or hold others back. As a beginner you can expect to be in control and safe with the kite and have a taste of the board.

One to Two Lesson

1 hour lesson – £40 pp

3 hour lesson – £100 pp

Is also a great fun way to learn to kite surf. Share kit costs and experiences in the early stages and improve quickly by spotting your own mistakes in your partner as you progress. Whether beginner or advanced we will push you as hard or take you as gently as you want.

2 Day Course

x 4 people – £250 pp

An entry level course designed to ensure you can kite surf by the end of it. At the end of the course most people are competent and safe with the kites, and have a taste of the board. It is ambitions to think you will be completely self sufficient but hope this gives you the taste for more. Most people return for 1 to 1 or 2 to 1 sessions at a later date. This course costs £250

Kite Buggying

Full Day (6 Hrs)  - £70 per person

Half Day (3 Hrs) – For Experienced/Previous Power Kiting Customers Only – £45 per person

One to One  or  One to Two Coaching session -£30 per hour per person

Please bring with you suitable clothing for the time of year and weather.

There is a height and or age restriction on this activity. Under 16 year olds require a parent or guardian to hand but aren’t required to take part. We are AALA Licensed to take juniors on adventurous activities.

Sessions Start – 9.30 am, 1.30 pm or 4.30 pm most days depending on the tide, but bespoke times are available so please check. All bookings must be made in advance. Open all year round.
