Kayaking in Cornwall

Vertical Descents offers kayaking at various locations in Cornwall.

Kayaking is an exciting and fun activity that's relatively easy and accessible for everyone. Our sit-on-top inflatable waveskis can be used for scenic wildlife estuary tours or for riding the waves in our waveski trips. We have single and two person, rigid, highly manoeuvrable sit-on-top kayaks also.

We can teach you how to enjoy them on flat water and progress you out into the waves. Paddling down the face of a wave with your buddy or on your own is a wild water experience not to be missed, a great way to enjoy the surf.

We also offer tours on our sit-on-top kayaks around the estuaries of Cornwall - see below for details. We also offer beginner kayaking sessions in the harbour where we can play games and have a lot of fun in a safe enclosed environment.

Why not try our Kayak Coasteering Combo Trip - see below for details of all our kayaking trips.

Who's it for?

Kayaking and waveskiing is suitable for everyone. Our tandem boats enable us to take both young and old, experienced or not. We can teach you everything you need to have a great time and if you can't get to grips with it you can always enjoy spending your session with one of our instructors on a tandem kayak.

Why not try our Kayak Coasteering, a combination of the best water activities available. Kayak to our coasteering site, moor up the boats and jump off the cliffs and check out the caves. A great combination of activities.
