Canyoning in Scotland with Vertical Descents.com “it was my first time down a waterfall but definitely not the last. A brilliant time, I’ll be back” Tony, England

  • Vertical Descents brought Canyoning to Scotland in 1998. Since then we have been at the forefront of Canyoning in the UK developing and tailoring trips to suit a wide range of abilities.
  • Vertical Descents is a dedicated Canyoning Centre which provide trips for beginners to experience canyoneers.
  • We offer half or full day activities which can either be pre-booked or done on a drop-in basis subject to availability.  During the busy summer months we do get booked up, so advanced bookings are advisable.
  • Owner and Manager, Ben Starkie is founder of UK Canyon Guides. He set this up with the aim of providing best practise training for the industry.
  • We have graded all our canyon trips so that you know what you are taking on and whether it is the right canyon for you.  We aim to provide the safest Canyoning experience possible.
