Welcome to the wonderful world of Via Ferrata or literally “Iron Way”. Via Ferratas were metal supported climbing routes used in Northern Italy traveling over the Alps by soldiers during the war. Today they’re best known as an outdoor leisure sport enjoyed over Italy and the Alps, and now – Scotland!
Vertical descents are extremely proud to be the first Scottish organisation to build our very own Via Ferrata right here in Fort William.
