Vertical Descents offers a selection of activities and programmes which will appeal to young people. We offer a modern outdoor centre, creating a positive atmosphere and activities which are challenging, enjoyable and offer valuable learning experiences.
Working creatively in the outdoors with young people will always be one of the most powerful learning experiences we can offer.
Aims of course:
To help young people increase self-esteem and to gain respect for themselves. They will gain skills and knowledge, which we hope will have a positive effect on their performance in school and elsewhere.
To enable young people to develop personal and social skills, so they can take responsibility for their actions and control of their lives.
To enable young people to take an active role in society. To do this, we believe that they need to feel good about themselves in order to feel positive about others. Our work aims to help them develop this understanding of themselves and others.
We are a registered activity provider by AALA the Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority. We are registered to be able to take under 18′s unsupervised on our activities. This government scheme allows us to prove that we confirm to a set or rules and regulations that deem Vertical Descents have the safest systems in place to ensure customer Health and Safety is at the highest of standards. And that our working practices are safe and confirm to Standards set out by AALA.
