Our white water rafting will allow you visit and experience some of Scotland's wildest rivers. It will enable you to discover landscapes out of reach by normal means and experience the sensations of fast and powerful water. It is a must for lovers of adrenaline and team work. Vertical Descents operates white water rafting on easy class 2 rivers to more technical and challenging class 5 rivers. Enjoy such rivers as The Garry, The Orchy, The Morriston and much more.

White water rafting is a water level dependant activity, however if there is no water we can offer Fun Yakking as an alternative.

The River Orchy Runs through the beautiful Glen Orchy, Twisting it way through the the glen it pick up water from its tributaries before turning into one of the best White water runs Scotland has to offer. This great peace of white water is a test of nerve as you decend the contious class 4 rapids building your skills in order to take on the class 5 ones.

This full day adventure is only recommended to those who has rafted before.

River Orchy, 4-5 hour trip. Grade 4/5 £75

The river Morriston running into the famous loch ness it is true Scottish epic with many class 4/5 rapids which are all bedrock in style. The natural rock and Scots pine running alongside the river make the Morriston one of the most picturesque rivers in Scotland.

The river Morriston is a dam released river and runs on a Tuesday and Wednesday through out the summer. This full day adventure is only recommended to those who has rafted before

River Morriston, 3 hour trip. Grade 4/5 £75 Tuesday only

The river Garry is a dam released river guaranteeing water all summer, the river is based just south of Fort Augustus. This great grade 3/4 river is a brilliant taster of Scottish rafting ideal for all abilities. The river normally release’s on a Thursday however this is subject to change so please call to book your trip.

River Garry, 2 hour trip. Grade 3/4 £45

The river awe is based about 20 minute from Oban. This grade 2/3 river is great for children and families pass through the estate there are plenty of views and lots of rapids. The trip finishes at a country park where refreshments and beautiful smoked meats and cheeses can be bought.

This float trip down Lochaber’s biggest river is a great way to relax and take in the beautiful views of Ben Nevis this is an ideal trip for elderly groups who want to do something a little different. or families with younger ones. The trip includes a stop for a Picnic. £45
