Swift Water Rescue - Technician Unit 1
Learn all the basic techniques required in swift water rescue, how to look after yourself, others and perform rescues.
The key principle of this course is the safety of the rescuer, closely followed by that of their colleagues. Only after these have been ensured can we begin to help the casualty.
The emphasis throughout this course is on attempting simple low risk rescues supported by a second back up plan should a more technical solution be required. The course will be a mixture of theory and practical sessions, the emphasis, however will be on gaining enough practical experience to feel confident in and around this subject.
