Vertical Descents was born in the Highlands of Scotland 1998. There the company has developed a well established Canyoning and White Water Rafting Centre.
After many years of trading a natural progression to the ocean has seen Vertical Descents branching out and bringing coastline activities to Cornwall. Established by brothers Ben and Sam Starkie, Vertical Descents Cornwall offers the ultimate adventure for both individuals and groups. We tailor our activities to your needs. So if you are an extremist we can give you the buzz you are looking for, or if you are after something more relaxing, enjoy a unique and different perspective of the Cornish Coast.

We like to provide memory adventures that last a life time. We are an environmentally conscious company who tries to minimise the impact on the natural environment. We try not to use the same sites too often and we ensure that all of our participants understand the impact that each have on the natural surroundings when taking part in each activity.

Our Approach
We want every activity we supply to be a truly memorable adventure. So we spend time making sure every element of your day/weekend is of the highest standard available. We rely on a lot of repeat business from our clients and this is down to the time and effort put in to every day/weekend we arrange.
The Team
All instructors are committed to providing the highest level of service possible. We continuously monitor and review your feedback to ensure that this happens. Our instructors are also trained and qualified to the highest standard, with experience from all over the world.
Safety
We have a great safety record with all of our activities running within our strict in house Risk management polices. Health and safety is of the highest importance. Vertical Descents prides itself on giving the highest adventurous experiences capable of its clients and with taylor all of its activities to the ability of the clients.
Vertical Descents currently has a AALA Licence and works together with the licensing authority to achieve best practices with the adventure sector. Vertical Descents Senior staff have also being involved in managing risk at events, film sets and has technically advised other outdoor centres on best practice.
